1. Mark the spot on the back cover (through the hole in the strap) where you wish the
closure to be placed.
2.Make a small 7/64" or 1/8" diameter hole on your back cover. You can the Zutter hole
punching tool, or other suitable hole punching tools available.
3. Keeping the leather strap on the outside of the back cover, insert the rivet pin through
the designated hole (From the inside to the outside).Place the leather strap onto the rivet
pin, place the rivet cap onto the rivet pin, pressing it by hand, temporarily secure the strap
in place. Against a flat surface, hammer the rivet cap (do not be afraid to hammer hard), this
will seal the rivet to be permanently installed while insuring a very flat inside part of the rivet
making it very suitable for covering/lining it with pattern paper without the rivet being
noticeable.
Installing your closure buckle onto the front cover
4.Make a small 7/64" or 1/8" diameter hole on your front cover. You can the Zutter hole
punching tool, or other suitable hole punching tools available.
5. Insert the rivet pin through the inside of the cover to the outside. Place the buckle.
Against a flat surface utilizing your wooden tool (for proper reach of your rivet pin) hammer
the rivet cap (do not be afraid to hammer hard) , this will seal the rivet to be permanently
installed.
If necessary you can trim the length of your leather strap.
Remember the leather strap is suitable for all types of dyeing, painting, stamping, application
of rub-ons.

When utilizing the frame closure you can make your closure buckle a perfect match to your
projects pattern paper. Simply cut out a small rectangle (9/32" x 6/32") of your pattern
paper. Glue it onto the indented part of the frame closure buckle. Then put on a layer of the
many available glazing products, giving it a very nice clear glossy finish.
